A little over a year ago the buildings at Dalukhanyo Pre-school were in desperate need of repairs and a fresh coat of paint. The LTPT Trust jumped in to raise funds to assist with some basic maintenance of the buildings. Our call for help to add some colour to the buildings also got the attention of See Saw Do, a social enterprise involved in several transformation projects in Langa. A couple of weeks ago, Dalukhanyo was selected as one of the beneficiaries of the Care and Share Initiative. Every year, Old Mutual dedicate two weeks towards giving back to communities. As part of this year’s initiative, and with the help of See Saw Do and 200 volunteers from Old Mutual, five Early Childhood Centres in Langa were transformed into bright and colourful spaces where children can be inspired to learn and play.

See Saw Do believes in the transformative power of creativity and love. ʺWe are driven by a heartfelt conviction that all children, regardless of their place of birth, should be given equal opportunities and environments in which to grow and learn.ʺ
